Virginia Tech Police Department
This special unit is a combination of crime prevention, public relations and education. From a crime prevention perspective, this unit analyzes all crime at Virginia Tech, and creates possible solutions to minimize its impact. Security surveys are a good example of target hardening, and they are performed both upon request, as well as buildings that are determined that have a need.
From a public relations and educational aspect, this unit is devoted to enhancing the relationship between the police department and the community it serves. All programs and presentations are created, then either given or managed by this unit.
To request a program or presentation different from below, simply email the date and time, location of the event, and your contact information to Officer Geoffrey Allen.
