State Police Seek Assistance in Investigating Death of Morgan HarringtonJanuary 27, 2010 State and local law enforcement are investigating the discovery of remains in Albemarle County (On January 26) in connection with the ongoing search for missing Virginia Tech student, Morgan Dana Harrington, 20, of Roanoke, Va. Based on evidence recovered at the scene, investigators are fairly confident at this time that the remains are those of Ms. Harrington, who went missing from the University of Virginia campus during a Metallica concert on the night of October 17, 2009. The Virginia State Police asks for the public to continue to provide any information they may have related to the case of Morgan Harrington and her apparent death. Those with information and tips are encouraged to call Virginia State Police at 434-352-3467 or UVA Police at 434-924-7166 or by email at bci-appomattox@vsp.virginia.gov. |
